Adding Descriptions to your listings

When manually uploading a listing to your Residential sales listings department, it's important that you complete as many of the property Description fields as possible so you can achieve the best possible marketing for your development.

To add a description:

  1. Log in to ZooplaPro
  2. Click the Manage listings tab
  3. Click Residential sales listings
  4. Click Add listing to add a new listing, or locate and click an existing listing to edit it
  5. Scroll down to the Description section and complete as many as possible. 
    Select the number of Bedrooms the property has from the dropdown menu
  6. Select the number of Bathrooms the property has from the dropdown menu
  7. Select the number of Receptions the property has from the dropdown menu
  8. Select the number of Floors the property has from the dropdown menu
  9. Enter the Size of the property. (You can specify a number with up to 2 decimal places)
  10. Select the Size Unit measurement from the dropdown menu
  11. Enter a Summary description. (Text entered here is only displayed on the Find agents > View agent profile section of Zoopla. Therefore we advise you use the Full description to enter the property description and other essential information)
  12. Enter a Full description of the property. (Aim to call out information which isn’t immediately visible)
  13. Complete the remaining sections and fields if you haven't already, as set out in How to upload a Sales listing. Then, click Save. Your changes will be live on Zoopla within the hour

 Best practice

  • A good Full description that mentions key and sought after details, working in conjunction with an appealing primary photo and other photos of value, can help to improve your search clicks
  • If you are copying the description text into the Full description field, make sure you copy it in to a text editor first, such as Notepad to prevent formatting issues 

 Did you know...

You can add a what3words address to your listings Full description so that you're providing potential buyers the most accurate location. This helps ensure they arrive at viewings at the right place, at the right time
